This isn't all this television has to offer though, although as far as the medium size range of these Samsung goes this one is very hard to beat. It may be slightly heavier and thicker than some of the newer counter parts but for the money they are asking it really is a great deal on the Samsung 40a650.

The picture quality is very good and you can see the detail in even the darkest of scenes, something which other HD TV's can fall down on, showing pixelated or 'fuzzy' edges when the light is very low in a scene, not a problem you will find here.

If I had one slight niggle it is that I would probably recommend getting a sound system to attach to the set if you are really into your films, it isn't that the sound on the Samsung 40A650 isn't adequate, I just like that BIG movie theatre feel when I am watching my latest DVD!

In all a great TV and for the size range, hard to beat. If you are looking for a mid size solution for your HD TV problem then the Samsung 40A650 could be the answer you were looking for!
